In the heart of Hobart, a beautiful neo-gothic building dedicated to the service of God...
Saint David's Cathedral is the church of the Bishop of Tasmania's episcopal chair (cathedra) and celebrates the good news of Jesus Christ to the diocese, the city and the state.
Built between 1868 and 1936 Saint David's is widely regarded as the finest example outside England of the work of the leading Victorian architect, George F. Bodley.
The Cathedral is open daily as a sanctuary and oasis both for people who frequent the inner city on a daily basis and for many visitors from overseas and interstate.
The Cathedral looks magnificent. Unless you are over 120 years old you will not have seen it in this shining beauty.
Communion is at 8.00 a.m., Choral Eucharist at 10.00 a.m. Evening Prayer is at 6.30 p.m.
Link in with one of our midweek services, Bible groups or forums.

Visit any time to enjoy our beautiful cathedral - you will delight in its tranquillity.
On Saturday 14th March the Very Reverend Richard Humphrey was installed as the new Dean of Hobart. The service was both impressive yet very family oriented as both Richard and his family were welcomed into the congregation of St David's Cathedral.
St David's is an excellent venue for concerts.
Concerts are often held in this beautiful space and advertisements will be placed here regularly.
St David’s in association with the Hobart City Council, the Cancer Council, Road Trauma, Hobart City Mission and other charities with the co-operation of Calvary Hospital and Anglican Chaplaincy hold an annual week of remembrance culminating in a special service in November.
